Cash on delivery

When cash on delivery is available, its limit, who receives the cash, the "Open before paying" program, and what happens if the buyer refuses the parcel.

In countries where cash on delivery is switched on, the buyer pays the courier in cash when the order arrives. Such an order reaches you as soon as it's placed, with no online payment to wait for.

When is it available?

  • When Majyk Danya has switched it on in the buyer's country.
  • When the order total is within the limit Majyk Danya sets for the buyer's country (5,000 in its currency unless set otherwise). The buyer sees the limit at checkout.
  • Never for gifts, since the recipient doesn't pay.

How much to collect

On the order page, in the "Payment" card, you find the "Amount the courier collects". It is your part's total minus any store credit the buyer used. Collect exactly that amount.

Confirming delivery

Once the courier has delivered the parcel and collected the money, press "Delivered, cash collected". If you booked the courier from the order page, its delivery scan confirms it automatically.

The "Open before paying" program

An optional program in Promotion programs: the buyer opens the parcel in front of the courier before paying, and can refuse it and pay nothing. Your offers get an "Open before paying" badge, which builds buyers' trust in cash on delivery.

  • Orders under the program show a notice at the top of the order page.
  • When you book Majyk Danya Express or Aramex, the open-box instruction goes with the booking. With other couriers, tell the courier yourself.
  • The program's cost: a parcel refused at the door comes back at your expense, like any cancelled order.

If the buyer refuses the parcel

  1. Open the order and press "Buyer refused it at the door". The button shows only on cash-on-delivery orders in "Shipped". If you booked the courier from the order page, its refusal scan records this automatically.
  2. The part is cancelled, and it doesn't count against your account health.
  3. The quantity goes back to the offer's stock at once. Check the item when it comes back, and adjust the stock in My products if it can't be sold.
