Pictures are the first thing buyers see, and they often decide whether a buyer opens your page. So the platform measures every picture as you upload it and tells you at once whether it works, before you send the product.

The main picture

The first picture you upload is the main one. It shows in search results and at the top of the product page, and all these rules apply to it:

RuleWhat we measureHow to meet it
SizeThe picture's longer side is at least 1000 px.Shoot at high resolution and don't shrink it when saving; 2000 × 2000 px works well.
BackgroundA thin band around the picture's edges: at least 90% of its pixels are pure or near-pure white.A pure white background, no frame, no props, no shadow reaching the edges. Transparent areas in a PNG count as white.
FillThe product stretches across at least 85% of the picture in its longest direction.Crop the empty space around the product so it nearly reaches the edges.
Format and file sizeJPEG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB.Save it in one of these formats. A bigger file or another format won't upload.

After uploading, each picture shows its result: “OK”, “too small”, “background not white” or “product too small in frame”. Replace any picture that doesn't pass before pressing “Publish the product”, or the product is refused.

Extra pictures

  • Up to 9 pictures per product, the first being the main one.
  • Each extra picture: longer side at least 500 px, JPEG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB.
  • Extra pictures' backgrounds aren't checked, so use them for what helps buyers: the product in use, close-up details, its size next to something familiar, what's in the box.
  • The order is the upload order. To change the main picture on the form, press “Remove” on the pictures and upload them again in the order you want.
  • After publishing, whoever added the product (or its registered brand's owner) changes its pictures with “Edit product details”: add from uploaded pictures or upload new ones, drop one with “Remove”, and pick the main one with “Make main”. The same rules apply, and new pictures are read automatically for contact details. See Editing a product's details.

What happens to a picture after upload

We store every picture as a JPEG of at most 2000 px and remove its camera data and location. Product pictures are also used by search-by-photo in the store, so a clear picture helps buyers find your product. When you send a new product (from the form or an Excel file) or change a product's pictures, we read its new pictures automatically, their text and any QR codes: if one seems to show contact details, or can't be read, the product goes to our team before it's published. See Listing rules.

The “My pictures” page

My pictures lists the pictures you uploaded (the latest 300) with each one's size and id, and “OK as the main picture” on those that meet the main-picture rules. The page is made for the Excel upload:

  1. Press “Upload pictures” and pick one product's pictures at once; they're selected in order.
  2. Or tap existing pictures to select them: the number shown (#1, #2…) is their order, and #1 is the main one.
  3. Press “Copy” and paste the ids into the “Picture ids” column of the Excel file, then press “Clear” before the next product.
