Two-step sign-in
Required for every seller: how to turn it on with an authenticator app, sign in with codes, keep your backup codes, and what to do if you lose your phone.
Two-step sign-in is required for every seller center account: no page opens before it is on, and it can't be switched off afterwards. After your password you enter a 6-digit code from an app on your phone, so your money and orders stay safe even if someone learns your password.
What you need
- A phone with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Any app that supports time-based codes (TOTP) works.
- Your account password.
- A safe place for your backup codes: a password manager, or a printed sheet kept away from your phone.
How to turn it on
- After registering, the “Turn on two-step sign-in” page opens by itself, and you come back to it at every sign-in until it is done.
- “Confirm your password”: type your password and press “Continue”.
- “Scan the code with your authenticator app”: add an account in the app by scanning the QR code, or type the “Key” shown next to it. The account appears in the app as Majyk Danya Seller.
- “Save your backup codes”: 10 codes appear, each working once. Save them now; no page shows them again.
- “Enter the code to finish”: type the current code from the app and press “Turn on”. You then land on your Home page.
Signing in after that
- Enter your “Email” and “Password” and press “Sign in”.
- In “Verification code”, type the current code from the app and press “Verify”.
- If your phone isn't with you, press “Use a backup code” and type one of your backup codes.
- The code changes every 30 seconds. If you see “Wrong or expired code”, wait for the next one, and check that your phone's clock is set automatically.
- After 5 tries within a minute you see “Too many attempts. Wait a minute and try again.”
- If you don't use the seller center for about 8 hours, you sign in again.
If you lose or change your phone
- Lost the phone, still have your backup codes: sign in with “Use a backup code”. Each code works once, so cross out every code you use.
- Changing phones: move your accounts to the new phone with the authenticator app's own transfer feature, before you wipe the old one.
- Lost both the phone and the codes: contact us through the help center. Don't put your password or any code in your message.
