Intellectual property and brands
Don't sell counterfeits or use other people's brands or pictures without permission. If you own a brand, here is how to protect it on Majyk Danya.
In this article
Intellectual property covers trademarks (names and logos) and copyright (pictures, texts and designs). Respecting it is a condition for selling on Majyk Danya, and selling counterfeits is also against the law.
Counterfeits are not allowed
- Never sell a branded product that isn't genuine, whatever you call it: “replica”, “master copy”, “high copy”, “1:1”...
- The listing rules automatically refuse any product whose words suggest a copy.
- If you sell a known brand, keep the purchase invoices from the maker or distributor to prove the goods are genuine if asked.
Other people's brands and pictures
- Only name a brand on your product if it really made it. If your product fits another brand's product, give your own real brand and state the compatibility clearly in the description.
- If a brand is registered on the platform, you can't create a new product under it without its owner's permission.
- Use pictures you took or have the right to use; don't copy another seller's or website's pictures.
- Write your own descriptions; don't copy other people's word for word.
If you own a brand
- Open “My brands” and press “Register a brand”.
- Enter the brand name as it appears on the products, its registration number and country of registration, and upload the certificate (PDF or picture, up to 10 MB).
- Our team checks the certificate. Once registered, new products under the brand's name are yours and your allowed sellers' only. Registration is free.
- If you wish, turn on “Lock selling the brand's products to me and the sellers I allow”: other sellers then can't add new offers on its products.
- Add the sellers you allow under “Sellers allowed”.
Reporting an infringement
If you find a product using your brand or pictures without permission, or you suspect it's a copy, contact us through “Contact us” at the bottom of the help center and send:
- the brand name and its registration number;
- the “Product number (MDIN)” or the page link, and the seller's name;
- the kind of infringement: a counterfeit, unauthorised use of the brand, or copied pictures or text;
- proof of your rights: the registration certificate or the original pictures.
And if you try to register your brand and find it registered or under review for another seller, contact us too: our team handles disputes over who owns a brand.
What happens to infringing offers?
- A new product whose words suggest a copy is refused before it's published.
- A new product under someone else's registered brand is refused unless its owner allows it.
- Once an infringement is confirmed, Majyk Danya may suspend the seller's account, which hides all of their offers from the store.
